Purchased a CycleOps Trainer
June 6, 2008
I sprung for a cycleops “wind” trainer last week from TrySports. I can tell it’s going to be great for getting some basic workouts in regardless of weather, time of day, etc. Makes it much easier to do drills where you can focus completely on pedal stoke and all without worries about where you are going, what’s behind you, etc. Goes a long way when riding around the here with traffic to deal with.
Also let’s me do certain drills that (at least for me) would be impossible on the road.
Well worth the $$.
Note of caution, there are a few cons depending on what you are expecting out of it. While the wind works for me, it can be very loud so if others are around, it’s definitely not something you can do in the family room while other are watching TV. For that, you might need to go a step or two up for the Mag or Fluid version. The Mag and Fluid versions also provide adjustments for varying amounts of additional resistance, which the wind doesn’t provide either.
